Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 25 at 11:00 AM at Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church. Public viewing at Wiebe Funeral Home, WInkler on Sunday from 1-6:00PM . Interment prior to the service at Westridge Memorial Gardens at 10:00AM. Memorial donations to Boundary Trails Health Centre - Designated to Palliative Care.
William (Bill) J. Harder1934 ~ 2024
On March 21, 2024 Dad passed away and went to his eternal home at the age of 89 years. He leaves to mourn sons Don (Marge), Larry (Helen), Steve (Carol), daughter Darlene (Gerry) , 10 grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters and 1 brother. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Margarete (Harder) in 2020.
Bill was born September 12, 1934 in Morris, MB. Dad grew up on the family farm in the Thames area. He was baptized on the confession of his faith on May 24, 1953. On October 4, 1953 he married the love of his life Margaret and they were married for 66 years.
Mom and Dad started their journey together on a farm 5 miles north of Horndean and then moved to Sewell for a while. Dad had many jobs after that. He got a job in Horndean at the federal grain manager, Janzen Pontiac and Triple E. Dad retired from Triple E on December 31, 1994. After retirement he kept busy driving truck for Burdick MFG. and Southern Manitoba Potato Co. Throughout all his working years and after retirement he would file taxes for people also. Dad loved to go to sporting events with the kids and grandkids and all the music festivals far and wide. He also loved to travel.
