Mary is survived by her husband of 48 years Thomas George, son Kefin (Ravi), daughter Helen (Derek), daughter Sian (Johnny), grandchildren Dylan (April), Rhys (Hope), Ashley, Evan, Hailey, Alexis, Everlee, Anwen and Macsen, sister Rae (John), sister Rose (Bernie), brother John (Betty) and countless nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Letitia, son in law Gerald and her beloved dog Mitzie.
Mary grew up on a farm and enjoyed that way of life so much that she married a farmer after finishing school. Shortly after marrying Thomas, their son Kefin was born. In order to make ends meet Thomas did custom work and Mary had her own catering business. She took great pride in her baking and sold her goods at markets 3 time a week. They also had a small farm at this time with 25 milking cows, goats, sheep and chickens.
Their daughter Helen was born in 1980 and shortly after in 1986 Sian was born. Due to the high cost of living they decided to immigrate to Canada in 1990. Mary’s dream was to become a nurse and after years as a healthcare aide she became a LPN in 2000. She loved her work and spoke highly of those that she had the pleasure to work with. After many years she retired and enjoyed countless cruises, vacations and trips in their RV. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren and she loved having them over for sleepovers and teaching them how to bake.
In 2020 Mary’s life took a turn with the news of cancer and she fought through one round only to be taken by the second
She died peacefully with her husband by her side on September 24th 2022
