Arlen E. Erickson, age 89 of Devils Lake, formerly of Grafton, ND, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at his home.
Arlen Erickson was born September 6, 1934 in Latona Township, Walsh County, ND, the son of the late Arthur and Ingeborg (Sjoberg) Erickson. At the age of 5, he moved into the Grafton Developmental Center where he resided until the age of 75 when he moved to a group home in Devils Lake, ND.
Arlen enjoyed going to car and farm shows as well as collecting model cars and farm machinery. He also enjoyed watching buffalo and prairie dogs, as well as going to Sullys Hill in Devils Lake.
Arlen is survived by his sisters: Ruth Ramsey, Park River, ND and Betty (Bill) Pich, Rushford, MN; sister-in-law Mary Ann Erickson, Thief River Falls, MN; special friends Camille and Patricia Conlon; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Arthur Erickson Jr.; sisters: Pearl (Lee) Bennington, Marion (Roy) Westling; and brother-in-law Bud Ramsey.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Park River Federated Church. Visitation will be for one hour prior the service at the church. Interment will be at the Sarepta Lutheran Cemetery of Rural Adams, ND in the spring.
