Private funeral service will be held with interment at the Southside Cemetery, Morden. Viewing will be from 1PM-8PM on Friday at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernie's memory to the Eden Foundation.

Bernard Klassen, loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and great uncle passed away suddenly Sunday November 7, 2021 in his home.
He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Mary Klassen, children, Katherine Klassen, Caleb Klassen, Clairrisa Klassen, Sarah Klassen, sister Tracy (Harv) Friesen, grandchildren, Emily Klassen-Young and Grace Klassen, niece, Kristin Friesen and nephews, Braxyn and Noah. Bernie was predeceased by his father, John Klassen.
Bernie was born and grew up in Winnipeg, was married and had 4 beautiful children with his then wife Patricia. His children were his absolute joy and he cherished every moment he could spend with them. Bernie had many mental health challenges as a young man. With the help of doctors and much family support he was able to live a full and meaningful life. Bernie had a strong faith in his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Bernie had many, many friends and he enjoyed going for coffee with all of them, numerous times a day if necessary. He loved sharing his faith and spending time with his church family. Bernie had an infectious laugh. He enjoyed making friends wherever he went. He was a kind and giving soul, always willing to lend a hand. Bernie's presence will be missed by many people. The family is grateful to the many proctors and staff at the Eden Mental Health Centre for their ongoing support in Bernie’s daily life.
