Along with Jim, her beloved husband of 59 years, Bev is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her son Dallas (Coryna), daughters Lynn and Bonnie (Dave), Son-in Law Glen Fossay, her three grandchildren Abby, Donald, and Samantha Fossay of Starbuck, MB, brothers and sisters Ellis (Florence) Elliott of Virden, MB, Barry Elliott of Sherwood Park, AB, Verna Clary of Melville, SK, Sister-in-Law Shirley Elliott of Medicine Hat AB, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Keith and sisters Arlene and Sharon.
Bev was born on February 12, 1938, in Meadow Lake, SK, and spent her formative years in Balcarres, SK. Bev married Jim Moffat on June 30, 1962, at Strathclair, MB. In the early years of their married life, they farmed at Hamiota, MB before moving to Virden, MB. In 1980 they moved their family to Sanford, MB, where they raised their three children and embraced the community for over 40 years.
Bev was an avid crafter, card player, and knitter, spending many years knitting items for Doctors without Borders and Koats for Kids. She was often recognized for her beautiful smile and brilliant blue eyes.
As per Bev’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private, intimate family gathering will be held at the Sanford Cemetery.
In lieu of Flowers, the family asks that donations in Bev’s name be made to the Manitoba Division of the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
