It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father and grandfather Brian Penner on December 12, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents Jake and Evelyn Penner. Left to mourn Brian are son Mike (Lilli) and their children Michael, Jamie, Heather, and Sterling, daughter Cassandra (Jamie) and their children Nadine and Joseph, brother Wayne (Marilyn) and their family, and sister Deb (Dieter) and their family. Brian was born January 6, 1965 and grew up in Lowe Farm, Manitoba. He lived in several places over the years, residing in Morden, Manitoba for his last twelve years. Brian enjoyed watching sports, playing hockey on his game system, and fishing. Family members and close friends will agree that Brian wasn't flawless, but people would always say how funny he was, that he loved to tease people, and that he was a hard worker, always on time and reliable. He would never miss an opportunity to tell people how proud he was of his son, Mike, and how much he loved his grandchildren. Every holiday, he would make sure to drop off a big bag of candy for each grandchild, and Heather would always refer to him as "the bald grandpa that always brings us candy", before she learned to call him Grandpa Brian. Brian knew a lot of people. Whenever Mike would go out in public, he would always run into someone who knew Brian, and they would ask Mike "how's your dad?". Many people will be saddened by the news of Brian's death and we are sure that he will be missed by many. We miss you dad! Rest in peace, until we meet again. The family is grateful to Wiebe Funeral Home of Morden for their compassion and assistance. Arrangements are pending
