Carol Jane Hager was born to Joe and Dolores (Anderson) Hager in Dickinson, ND on October 30, 1953. Carol lived at the former Grafton Developmental Center from age 2 to 37 years old. She transitioned to REM Group Home in 1987 in Grand Forks, ND where many friendships with staff and residents were formed. She lived in an apartment with her good friend Margie Borgerson for many years. Her final move to REM Group Home in Grafton brought new friendships with both staff and residents. Carol loved music of any kind and her happy disposition brought many people happiness. She was loved by all who ever met her. Carol passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 of pancreatic cancer. Blessed be her memory.
She is survived by her brother Terry Hager and family of Lincoln, NE and aunts: Betty (Paul) Heidt and Margie (Roger) Huber of Dickinson, ND, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Dolores Hager, grandparents: Joseph and Katherine Hager and Emanuel and Emma Anderson, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at the St. Mary’s Cemetery of Bismarck, ND.
