Services for Curtis will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tokio Wellness Center, Tokio, ND. Burial will be in the Dakotah Oyate Cemetery, rural Tokio.
Curtis Neil Longie, son of Jerry and Sherry Yvonne (Taylor) Longie was born on October 1, 1976 in Devils Lake ND.
He lived back and forth between Bagley MN, Fort Totten ND and Sheyenne ND. He graduated from Bagley High School with the class of 1995.
Curtis held various jobs in his short life with us. He worked at the Shooting Star Casino for several years working in a variety of positions with the casino. He also worked at the Spirit Lake Casino, Devils Lake Airport and in security at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, ND.
Music and dancing was Curtis’s passion. If there was music playing, Curtis was dancing to the beat. He loved to travel and visit with family and friends. Curtis loved his family with his whole heart. He will be forever loved, forever missed and forever in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
Curtis is survived by his loving family. His brother Jerome Allen Neeland; sisters Angela Dee Neeland and Cheynne Marie Neeland; nice Mercede Gagnon; step mother Sherry Neeland; many precious aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will join in the Spirit World his Creator God, parents Jerry Longie and Sherry Taylor Longie, brothers Derek “Fuji” Longie and Waylon “Cub-E” Longie; grandparents Donald and Caroline Lucille Longie, Margaret Ross Bear and Mathias Carson Taylor Sr. and other beloved family members.
Urn Bearers will be Virgil Feather Jr., Skylar Georgeson, Benjamin Longie and Christopher Stephens.
Honorary Bearers will be: Valerie Thompson, Cheryl Thompson, Sheila Stephens, Vicki Neeland, Lenny Neeland, Celeste Neeland, Tina Georgeson, Gwen Brown and Amy Moyland.
