Delores White was born January 10, 1938 in Hope Township Cavalier County, ND, the daughter of the late Charlie and Violet (Carlson) White. She attended schools in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School. She was united in marriage to Aurel DeSautel on July 19, 1956 in Grafton, ND. They lived and farmed in Farmington Township until moving to Grafton in 1995. Aurel passed away on Dec. 24, 2008 and she continued to make her home in Grafton until the time of her passing.
She was member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton and the Grafton Curling Club where she served as President for many years. She was a majorette in the Grafton Marching Band and marched in the Rose Bowl Parade. She enjoyed curling, bowling, golfing, watching Spoiler hockey and basketball games, spending time at the lake and with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and Aurel attended many auction sales and she was an avid antique collector.
Delores is survived by her children: David (Sara) DeSautel, Minot, ND, Thomas (Suzanne) DeSautel, Kronenwetter, WI, James (Nicole) DeSautel, Grafton, ND, Paul (Denise) DeSautel, Grafton, ND and Jan (Steve) Worner, Grand Forks, ND; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Ricky (Gloria) White, St. Michael, MN and Kenny (Susie) Nelson, Grafton, ND; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Aurel, and sister Charlotte Barr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery of Grafton.
