Donald was born on March 31, 1958 in Cavalier, ND the son of Francis Eide and the late Alice (Burger) Eide. Donald was raised and attended school in St. Thomas, ND. He began helping out his Grandpa Burger on the farm at the age of 13 and his love for the land and farming began. He farmed for Lykken Farms and the George Nelson Farm for many years. He retired a couple of years ago, due to his health. Donald loved to hunt, snowmobile, and attend the races. He was always willing to beat you at a game of Whist, Yahtzee, or Pinochle. When he had a little extra time, you could find him traveling the countryside to visit family, attending auctions, and enjoying live country music and dancing.
