Earl Levern Larson was born August 20, 1930 in Walsh County, ND, the son of the late Benjamin and Ida (Schanz) Larson. He grew up and attended country school in the Park River area. After his education, he began working for area farmers and in local potato warehouses.
Earl was called to serve his country in 1952, during the Korean Conflict. He was a recipient of three Bronze Service Stars and a United Nations Service Medal honoree.
After returning from the Army, Earl returned to the farm and his work with local farmers. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Park River. He loved to take rides in the country, read, and watch television game shows.
Earl is survived by his brother Raymond (Esther) Larson, Saskatchewan, Canada; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Donna Nelson. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Ruth, Irene, and Charles.
A graveside service will take place in the spring of 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery of Park River. Military Rites will be provided by the Park River American Legion and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
