Edith Orine Drevecky, age 98 of St. Paul, MN and formerly of Adams, ND passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the Woodlyn Heights Senior Care Center of St. Paul, MN.
Edith Orine Rustan was born August 1, 1923 on the family farm near Edinburg, ND, the daughter of the late Oluf and Louise (Stenerson) Rustan. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from Edinburg High School. Orine was united in marriage to Vernon Drevecky on November 18, 1945 at the Odalen Lutheran Church of rural Edinburg. The couple lived and farmed near Adams, ND. In October of 1969 the couple moved into Adams and they retired from farming in 1991. Vernon passed away on March 10, 2001. She moved to Park River, ND in 2006 and in 2017 she moved to St. Paul, MN
She was a member of the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church and WELCA as well as the Neighborhood Bible Study. She loved to sing and sang for many functions at the church. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, entertaining and card club. Her favorite activity was spending time with her great granddaughters.
Orine is survived by her grandchildren: Robin (Brad) Miller, St. Paul, MN; Michael (Jessica) Elofson, St. Paul, MN; son-in-law, Rick Elofson; great granddaughters: Abigail and Madelyn Miller along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Bonnie.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church, Adams, ND. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be at West Adams Lutheran Cemetery in the spring. Memorials are preferred to the Mountain Lutheran church of Adams.
