Ed and Shirley settled in Brandon in 1967 where Ed worked at Simplot for 30 years before taking early retirement when he was 61. Ed made the decision to follow Christ in 1968 and became active in the Mennonite Brethren Church as a Boys Brigade leader. He also was a Gideon and volunteer chaplain for many years playing his guitar and singing. Ed loved to share his Faith with everyone and never ashamed of his belief.
Ed moved to Carman in 2010 enjoying being close to his brother, sister, and other family. In September 2013 with some health issues arising, Ed moved to Winnipeg to live with his daughter and her family until his passing.
Thank you to all who have been a part of his life over the years. He was blessed with friends young and old, near and far. He will be missed but for those who are in Christ, he will meet again.
Thanks also to Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care these past 6 weeks.
