Memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday January 19, 2023 at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden with interment prior at 12:45PM at Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Viewing will be from 1PM-9PM on Wednesday at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to the Salem Foundation Inc.

Peacefully on Sunday January 15, 2023 with family by her side, Elizabeth was called home by her Heavenly Father.
She leaves to mourn her passing two children: daughter, Marlene (Jeannette), son, Lorne (Enid) and their children, Bryan Friesen, Nolan and Marcy Friesen (Callie, Beckett and August), Kaylee and AJ Giesbrecht (Tanner, Tucker). She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, David B Friesen in November 1995 and their beloved eleven-year-old son, Reynold in 1964.
The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses and staff on Maple North at Salem Home. On her last day, Elizabeth could communicate; she told the family to “go home for the night, the nurses (staff) take such good care of me.” Elizabeth had a special connection with many of you at Salem, you helped her get through her good days and bad days during the five years she lived there.
