Jacob Dennis Fehr
1954 ~ 2021
Jake (Slip) passed away peacefully at his residence in Osterwick, MB on Monday June 14, 2021.
Jake was born on February 26, 1954 to Diedrich and Tina Fehr. He was baptized upon his confession of faith in the Sommerfelder Mennonite Church on May 21, 1978 by Bishop John A Friesen. He grew up on the family farm and had many responsibilities helping with the dairy farm and later driving truck for his father in the gravel business. He worked for numerous employers, hauling gravel for Altona Concrete and bailing for John Penner. His latest job was working as a floater operator at Cargill in which he took great pride. As most people saw by his attire, he was an avid advertiser of Cargill. Jake was widely known for perfecting his steak BBQing skills he was always willing to have people over for a good steak fry. As well as taking care of his cows and calves he would help others with their cows whenever needed.
He is survived by his five sisters and five brothers: Marge (Dave) Martens, Anne (Cornie) Wolfe, Frank (Helen), Marie (Henry) Martens, Helen (Klaas) Reimer, John (Martha), Marvin (Glenda), David (Tara), Peter (Darlene), Susan (Dennis) Fehr and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Diedrich and Tina Fehr, on sister , two nephews and one niece.
