Gary Gene Wolf, 76, of Devils Lake, passed away surrounded by family on January, 30th at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 2nd at Gilbertson’s Funeral Home in Devils Lake.
Gary was born in Rugby, North Dakota to Jack and Bernice (Hilson) Wolf on April 27th , 1944. He went to school at Knox Public School. He married Bonnie Buhrow on August 6th, 1976 in Rugby, North Dakota. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, and served four years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver his whole life until he retired in 2015. When he was not driving, he spent most of his spare time with family, playing cards, watching the New York Yankees, helping on the Johnson Farm. He and his family went to visit his Mom nearly every weekend.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Bernice Wolf, father-in-law and mother-in-law Harvey and Dona (Obeley) Buhrow and brother-in-law Douglas Buhrow.
Gary is survived by his wife Bonnie Wolf, Devils Lake; children Tari Mitzel, Grand Forks ND and Dustin Wolf (LeAnn), Devils Lake; grandchildren Marcel Mitzel, Harvey Wolf, Hal Wolf; siblings Jack Wolf (Mikki), Minto ND, Ardell Wolf (Jill), Kerrville TX, Jim Wolf (Carla), Wolford ND, Brenda Collete (Dale), Grafton ND, Doug Wolf (Cyndy), Tucson AZ; several aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be given to the VA or the Altru Rehab Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
