
Glen Anthony Houle, 63, of Cando, ND passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cando Lutheran Church in Cando with Reverend Bonnie Weaver officiating. The visitation will take place on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. prayer service at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando. A visitation will also take place one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Church. Music will be provided by Joni Morlock.
Glen Anthony Houle was born on April 23, 1958 to Norman Swain and Leona (Vivier) Houle in Belcourt, ND. He attended school in Cando and graduated from Cando High School. He attended college in Wahpeton, ND for HVAC for two years. Glen worked for Wally Shelly in Cando for many years. Glen married Jan Johnson on August 29, 1980 in Cando, ND. He worked at Noodles by Leonardo for many years and then worked for Integra. He started taking care of his wife as a caregiver in 2008. He continued doing maintenance at local apartment complexes and for individuals around the Cando area.
Glen enjoyed hockey, softball, golfing, teaching his children and grandchildren to hunt, the outdoors and camping. He served as a volunteer for the Cando Fire Department in the 1980’s.
Glen is survived by his wife Jan of Cando, ND: father Norman of Belcourt, ND; mother Leona of Cando, ND: Crystal (Christopher) Binsfeld of Bismarck, ND, Jordan (Kelsey) Houle of West Fargo, ND and Monica (Jason) Halverson of Devils Lake, ND; Siblings Vernon (Robi Nelson) of Fargo, ND, Dennis (Carmen) Houle of Mandan, ND, Laurie Borseth of MT, Linda (Gilbert) Correa of Albuquerque, NM, Lynette of Minot, ND, Pam Houle of Cando, ND, James Houle of Sioux Falls, SD and Joey Houle, Bismarck, ND; grandchildren Chris, Ashleigh, Brady, Collyns, Bailey, Archer, Rennick and Dekker; and great grandchildren Maxium and Jude.
Glen was preceded in death by his grandparents Floyd and Eva Jorgenson, sister Janice and granddaughter Jayleigh.
