Also left to mourn are her sisters Jane, Janet, Susan and Alvina. Predeceased by her parents Sophie and Klemens Kisielewski and brothers Walter, Charlie, Stanley, and sisters Lillian and Geralda. Left behind are her 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren and Shawn and Riley who loved Mum to pieces, and her many nieces, nephews, and friends that she cherished deeply and who held a special place in her heart.
Mum had a challenging life. But every struggle was met with determination and gratification of a job well done. Stubbornness was every bit our mother. But that is what drove her to stay on the homestead after her husband’s passing. She was committed to the 126 year old homestead and was determined it would stay in the family. Mum’s love was her extensive gardens and extravagant flower beds. Those who knew her will remember her home cooked meals, especially her renowned desserts. No one ever left her table hungry. She also ran her own restaurant and catering service. Her joy of cooking were the moans and groans of contented appetites. Mum continued to look after the homestead until 2016. When she finally retired to Boyne Lodge in Carman. A special thank you to Boyne Lodge for the excellent care and compassion that was given to Mum so freely during her stay with them. This meant so much to us.
Also thank you to Pastor’s Trudy and Kolleen for knowing and being with Mum and helping her start her heavenly journey.
Until we meet again Mum. You will be forever in our hearts and missed dearly.
Funeral service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, 10-120 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, or to a charity of one’s choice.
