BURIAL AND MILITARY HONORS WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15, 2022 AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE NORTH DAKOTA VETERANS CEMETERY, RURAL MANDAN, NORTH DAKOTA.
Grant “Kelly” Scheveck, 65, Devils Lake passed away in early April 2022 at his residence in Devils Lake, ND.
Kelly was born on May 6, 1957, in Worland, WY to Leo Frank Scheveck and Phyllis Naomi (Gaast) Scheveck Johnson. He graduated high school in Minot at Magic City Campus. After graduating he enlisted into the United States Navy for 4 years and was honorably discharged of service. He then attended Bismarck Technical College where he obtained certification in heating and air conditioning.
Kelly was an avid lover of the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He also had the ability to touch the people in his life in a very special way. He will be missed.
Kelly is survived by his two sons, Nathan Scheveck Sioux Falls, SD, and Kyle Scheveck, Sioux Falls, SD ; three grandchildren ,Bjorn, Elise, and Onyx Scheveck; sisters, Sherea Orrill (MN), Tamara “Tami” (Gary) Kelly (NJ) brothers, David Scheveck (MT) and Thomas “Tom”(Carol) Scheveck (AZ) and many nieces and nephews.
Kelly was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life Nancy Scheveck.
Kelly will be interned at the Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND at a later date. The family asks in lieu of flowers that memorials be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Kelly.
