Helena Guenter, aged 88 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 19, 2021, with family by her side. She leaves to mourn her husband of 68 years, Cornelius Guenter, eight children, Mary Wall, Neil and Anita Guenter, Sara and Dave Dueck, John and Shirley Guenter, Aaron and Lorrie Guenter, Eva and Ray Ginter, Elfrieda Dueck, Brian and Debra Guenter, 29 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. She is also survived by six brothers and sisters and their spouses. She was predeceased by her parents, Aaron and Sarah Wolfe, one son-in-law, one granddaughter and six brothers and sisters.
Mom was born on January 25,1932 in Waldheim Colony in Mexico. She married Cornelius Guenter April. 13, 1952. They had one child in Mexico and then emigrated to Canada in August 1954. They started out in Steinbach, Manitoba, then they moved to Springstein where mom spent her days raising her eight children. Over the years they lived in Winnipeg, Oak Bluff and La Salle, Manitoba. 14 years ago, they decided to move to Winkler, MB to live their senior years amongst some of their siblings. Rest in Peace, Mom. You will be greatly missed.
