Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday July 4, 2023 at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden with a private family interment at Rosenbach Cemetery. No public viewing. Donations may be made in Irene's memory to the Boundary Trails Health Centre Foundation, designated to Palliative Care.
Irene Louise Fehr (nee Peters)
1950 ~ 2023
Irene Fehr (nee Peters) was born on November 22, 1950, to her parents, Aron and Gertrude Peters (nee Wall). Together with her husband, David Fehr, she had two children, David Fehr and Cynthia Lem (nee Fehr). As a young child, she resided briefly in Ontario but spent most of her formative years in Winkler, Manitoba. Later, she moved to various places in Manitoba but spent the majority of her adult years in Winnipeg and, lastly, in Morden.
Irene was a strong and independent woman of faith. Despite lifelong health challenges, she never let these obstacles prevent her from leading a full life; always believing she was walking the path God had set out for her. Her sweet and positive nature will be missed by all who were blessed to enjoy her company throughout the years. Irene passed away peacefully, with family by her side, in the early hours of Thursday, June 28th, 2023, in palliative care at Boundary Trails Health Centre.
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers (two in infancy). She leaves to mourn her son, David Fehr and his wife, Anna Fehr; her daughter, Cynthia Lem and her husband, Hilton Lem; her sisters, Helen Fehr and Marianne Peters; Leona, the wife of her brother, Don Peters; her brother, Wayne and his wife, Lois Peters and her three grandchildren, Ella, Emilie and Evan Lem.
Isaiah 40:31 - "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
