With deep regret we announce the passing of Clinton Welch of Roland, MB on February 8, 2021 at the age of 94 years.
Clinton was born at Virden, MB on December 6, 1926 to Isaac Bradley Welch and Margaret Agnes Welch. He was raised in the Assiniboine Valley on Glenleod, the family homestead. He was predeceased by his 7 siblings, Ruth, Ida, Dede, Ralph, Duncan, Myrtle and Norman.
In 1949 he married Thelma Doreen Kirkness in Brandon, MB. They raised 3 children, Brenda of Birtle, MB, Heather (deceased) Ron of Bienfait, SK. and Brent of Roland, MB. Their grandchildren Chris, Lance, Rhonda, Grant and Shane have fond memories of their wonderful grandfather, always in good humor and full of fun and stories. He leaves behind several great-grandchidren and numerous nieces and nephews. Everyone he met was a friend.
Clinton was a gifted cabinet maker. He spent many happy years hunting and fishing and studying Canadian History, and birds and animals.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 1379 Kenaston Blvd. Winnipeg, MB R3P 2T5. Cremation has taken place and plans for interment will be made at a later date.
