Memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday January 29, 2024 at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden with interment prior at the Altona Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1PM-8PM on Sunday at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler.

1951 ~ 2024
It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Jake Unger, 72 of Winkler, MB on Friday January 19, 2024 at Boundary Trails Health Centre.
He will be remembered by his brother, Henry Unger and sister, Kathy Unger, sister-in-law, Donna Reimer, nieces and nephews, Brenda and Richard Cloustion, Gary and Annie Reimer, Kristin Unger, Cristina and Eldon Reimer, Jonathan Friesen and Tina Harder.
He was predeceased by his father, John F Unger (1994), his mother, Katherine Unger (2023) and three brothers, Abram (1979), John (2006) and David (2002).
Jake Unger was born in 1951 to John and Katherine Unger. He enjoyed working at Valley Rehab Centre for 25 years. Jake was no stranger to hardship. His handicap was a constant battle in life but he touched people’s lives with joy, smiles and enthusiasm. Jake was baptized in 1989 in the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
