Cremation has taken place. As per James' wishes, a private scattering of his ashes will take place at his favorite fishing locations.

1953 - 2022
James Taylor Young, age 69 of Gretna and a brief time in Morden, Manitoba, passed away peacefully with his three daughters at his side in Boundary Trails Health Centre on Tuesday December 13, 2022.
Jamie loved hunting, fishing, food and family. He was a dedicated member of the AA family for 42 years. Jamie spent 18 years working for CP Rail and later returned to University to obtain his Social Work Degree where he was employed by DOCFS.
He is survived by daughter, Christie (Ian) and grandchildren, Ezra, Aria and Nadia Ginter, daughter, Kelly (Derek) and grandchildren, Ridgley and Reese Empson, daughter, Darcy (Mitchell) and grandchildren, Griffin, Weston and Layla Bergmann, foster sons, Rylan Thomas and Breydon Daniels. He is also survived by his brother, Greg (Maureen), Ian, and Alec Young, brother, Robert (Heather) Andy and Natalie Young, sister, Karen (Glenn) Marcus, sister, Lisa and nephew, Reed Sutton. Jamie was predeceased by his father, Marshall and mother, Lois Young.
Scattering of ashes will take place privately at his favourite fishing locations at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr Kevin Convery, Dialysis Charge Nurse Tanya as well as the entire dialysis staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Larry Reimer Pastoral Care and Morden Community Handi-van Services.
