James died on February 21, 2019. James William Melville was born December 6, 1935 in Bemidji, MN to Leslie and Alice (Peterson) Melville. His is survived by his wife Sandy and sister Sandra (Richard) Hessling of Grand Forks, ND.
Jim and Sand were married for 56 years on February 2, 2019. They have three great children, Tary, Tamy (Todd) and Tim. They raised their children in ND, and they all continue to reside in ND.
Survivors also include seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Brandy), Tracy (Jake), Mindy, Patrick (Cassie), Taryn (John), T.J., and Chaz. Also eleven great grandchildren Cody, Shelby, Monroe, Hunter, Sawyer, Kolter, Maisy, Damian, Aiden, Emma and Maddix.
Jim donated his body to a Medical School of Science in hopes they could soon find a cure for this dreadful disease of Alzheimer’s.
