Joshua (Pete) Lemke, son of Lester Lemke and Tammy (Olson) Lemke, was born August 21, 1984 at Belcourt Hospital. He reared by Upham and attended school there. Later he transferred to Willow City School and then Bottineau School. Josh had various jobs throughout his life, like helping farmers, Bottineau Winter Park, road construction, Pioneer Rigs, Deans Construction, and Cando Pig Farm. Later he moved to Washburn and helped an elderly lady with her dog boarding and lived there for a while. He recently moved back to Cando, where he resided.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially gopher hunting with the dog(s) when he was little. He loved gabbing to people he knew and some he didn’t. he also liked spending time with his nieces and nephews and talking to them when time allowed. He also liked to teach them new things and to properly show them the “Josh way”. He loved tinkering on his vehicles or anything he could find. He also loved gaming on his PlayStation. He loved all animals, especially his three dogs, they were his life and would do anything for them.
He is survived by his dad, Lester (Lisa) Lemke of Cando; sisters, Dawn Soland of Bottineau, Dusty Lemke and her significant other Matt Mullins of Billings, Montana; nieces, Dominique, Jasmine, Triniti, Serinity, and Leah; nephews, Alex, Jamasin, Colton, and Legand; great-niece, baby Willow. Many aunts, cousins, an uncle, and his three beloved dogs, Taya, Paddy, and Sara.
Josh is preceded in death by his mom, Tammy Lemke; maternal and paternal grandparents; aunt, Crystal Schmidt; uncles, Terry and Gary Olson; cousins, JD Helgeson, Christine Kieffer, and Justin McKnight.
