Katharina Wall (nee Janzen) was born to Isaac and Helen Janzen on December 17, 1932. She passed into eternal glory on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at the age of 88. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. We celebrate a life well-lived. Katharina, known by most as Tina, grew up in the village Gnadenfeld, Mexico. In 1956, she was baptized upon the confession of her faith in the Old Colony Church.
On July 7, 1957 she married Abram Wall. They began their life together in Mexico. Abe and Tina were blessed with a large family. In 1967 they moved to Ontario, Canada; eventually settling in the village of Haskett, MB.
Mom could always be found working with her hands and preparing food for her family, whether it be her pies, buns, homemade noodles, or cream cookies. She enjoyed each gathering, baking buns for faspa until the age of 78. Mom’s love for animals really showed when she was hatching chicks or enjoying the companionship of kittens and puppies.
In her later years she really enjoyed to puzzle, admire her doll and stuffed animal collection. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her joy and comfort. She anticipated holidays especially hers and Dad’s birthdays and anniversary.
Each Sunday Mom and Dad could be found in church worshipping their Heavenly Father, until health no longer allowed them to do so. From then on, they greatly enjoyed listening to church at home. Praying with her children from a young age, singing hymns and reading the Bible was an important part to Mom’s life. She could often be heard humming hymns throughout the day.
Tina was predeceased by two daughters and one son and all her siblings. She loved her family and left to celebrate her life is her husband, Abram Wall, her eight children and their families: Isaac and Helen Wall, Mary and Abe Penner, Lisa and Pete Wiebe, Tina and John Fehr, Helen and Aron Wiebe, Abe and Helen Wall, Nick Wall and Martha Wall. Mom was very loved by all her family.
