Cremation has taken place. A private ash interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery at a later date.
Katherine Elizabeth Seyferth (nee Edwards)
1951 ~ 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom, Grandma, Sister and Aunt, Katherine (Kathy) Seyferth on Wednesday June 28, 2023, at the Boundary Trails Health Centre.
Kathy endured a long struggle with multiple health complications causing great discomfort for many years, even so, she always found a way to put the comfort and happiness of others above her own. The staff at the Boundary Trails Health Center were able to give her comfort as she passed peacefully in their care.
Kathy was born on February 8, 1951, in Toronto Ontario. Throughout her life she moved many times all over Canda but always found her way back in Brandon Manitoba.
Kathy started her working career as a hairdresser where she worked for many years before beginning a career caring for others. She worked in the Brandon Mental Hospital as a health care aide, a coordinator for Senior Services in Rivers, MB and finally as a Residential Care Worker before retiring.
She spent her life looking after others, putting their needs above her own.
Kathy is survived by her daughter Janet Mulholland (James), grandchildren, Natalie and William, brother, Bob Edwards (Janet), nephew, Jeff Edwards (Deb), nephew, James Edwards (Tiffany), niece, Kimberly Pierce (Lyle), sister, Janet St. Pierre, sister-in-law, Marilyn Edwards, nephew, Christopher Edwards, and brother-in-law, Ron Seyferth (Barb) as well as great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Hilda Edwards, husband, Bernie Seyferth, brother, Rick Edwards, brother-in-law, Louis St. Pierre and nephew, Jason St. Pierre.
