Kelly was born on July 8, 1964 in Rolla ND to Ardell and Lorraine (O’Brien) Clouse. Kelly met his soulmate Ronnette, 40 years to the day that he left this earth. They met when Kelly was a little wild and Ronnette had a heavy foot. They kept each other grounded. They married on October 26, 1984. Together they had three sons, Ryder, Levi, and Chase. The boys were the light of his life. Kelly never missed a wrestling match. Kelly was Ryder and Levi’s Google. He was always their first call, whether it was helping to fix something or get them out of a bind. Kelly was a man of many hats; however, in his heart, Kelly was always a farmer/rancher. He was most recently employed with Towner County and dedicated his time to caring for the roads throughout the county. He was greatly respected for the time and effort he put into his job. He loved his Towner County family, and had a special place in his heart for Kevin Rinas and Colin Waldera. Kelly was a new found “LAKE ENTHUSIAST”, who couldn’t swim and was terrified of the water.
Kelly could be summed up by saying he was stubborn, enjoyed a quiet life, always put others before himself, and was hard working. He never took his work gloves off and was teased relentlessly for it by Tiffany. He loved his baby girl, Annie Mae, more than anything. If you saw Kelly, Annie was always right there at his side.
The last several years of his life, he dedicated a majority of his time to his granddaughters, whether it be water gun fights, nerf gun wars, or hundreds of loads of sand so they could enjoy the lake. They brought out the kid in him. Kelly faced many hardships in his life. He recently celebrated 40 years of sobriety surrounded by his family that was so extremely proud of him. He struggled deeply with the loss of their baby boy, Chase. He tirelessly challenged the doctors to provide the best care for Ryder and never left his side. Kelly was the glue of the family and did everything he could for them. Throughout his hardships Kelly continued to find the light in his life, making people laugh with his sarcastic humor, relentless teasing, silly chuckle, and hilarious stories.
Kelly is survived by his wife Ronnette (Bonn) of Rock Lake, ND; sons Ryder and Levi (Tiffany) both of Rolla, ND; granddaughters Reese, Ellie and Harper Disrud all of Rolla, ND; his dog Annie Mae Clouse (his baby girl); siblings Cathy Henderson (Brian Larson) of Bisbee, ND, Cindy (Gene) Oakland of Cando, ND, Chris (Mark) Haugen of San Tan Valley, AZ, Kevin (Laura) Clouse of Langdon, ND, and Stacy Clouse of San Tan Valley, AZ, and many loving nieces and nephews.
