Kendall (Ken) John Martens
1966 ~ 2023Kendall John Martens went home to be with the Lord on Monday October 23, 2023. He is now in the arms of his maker and belongs to Jesus!
Kendall was born on November 11, 1966 to John and Leona Martens, their first child and only son. He is survived by his sisters Teresa and Sheila.
Ken was born with a hole in his heart which resulted in 5 heart surgeries starting at age 5.
Ken gave his heart to King Jesus when he was 8 years old and became a citizen of Heaven. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour as a little boy. He grew closer to the Lord in recent years. His relationship deepened with Jesus through his life and health challenges. Last month he sowed seed into blessing Israel through Daystar for Yom Kippur.
He had a passion for guns and hunting. He had many adventures going out hunting and fishing with his close friends and family. Through these adventures he was able to travel and see God’s beautiful wilderness in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
In 2004 Ken graduated from the Reimer Trucking School. He immediately started employment with Reimer Trucking and drove highway tractors for their company across Canada and the US. This opportunity was a blessing to him to travel and see many beautiful places including the B.C. coast, Thunder Bay and warm destinations including Texas.
In the last weeks Kendall was able to watch Jesse Duplantis speak about his trip too Heaven to meet Jesus in 1988. Ken was excited to hear more about Heaven and remarked he could watch hours more of Jesse’s testimony.
His presence will be deeply missed and we look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
