Larry D. Dvorak, age 72 of Park River, ND, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.
Larry Dvorak was born May 11, 1951 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Frank D. and Hattie (Greicar) Dvorak. He grew up and attended school in Pisek, ND. He was united in marriage to Bonny Skeim on November 16, 1969 in Park River, ND. The couple made their home in the Park River area where he worked for several area farmers. He worked at KAP Inc. assembling farm machinery and later for Logan’s and Cenex. He started D & L Gravel with his brother Damian in 1992 which they operated until 2008. He continued helping fix machinery at his shop until retiring in 2017.
He was a member of the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Park River. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and tinkering in his shop. He was a master mechanic who could fix anything.
Larry is survived by his wife Bonny, Park River, ND; sons: Duane (Angela) Dvorak, Paola, KS and Jamie Dvorak, Park River, ND; grandsons: Devin, Brenden, and Levi Dvorak; siblings: Pat (Ken) Sweeney, Ron Dvorak, Damian (Janet) Dvorak, all of Park River, ND; and brother-in-law Don Fitzsimonds, Andover, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Arnold, and sister Loretta Fitzsimonds.
Memorial services will be Friday, September 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery of Park River.
