Larry “OB” Gillespie, age 73 of Park River, ND passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at First Care Health Center.
Larry Eugene Gillespie was born August 18, 1950 in Grafton, ND to the late Robert and Alvira (Mageli) Gillespie. He was raised in Park River and attended school at the Walsh County Agriculture School. Larry “OB” enlisted in the United States Army in 1970. After serving he returned to Park River, ND. Larry “OB” worked as a meat cutter for many years in the Park River area.
Larry “OB” is survived by his children Jamie Gillespie (Jesse Reiter), East Grand Forks, MN and Derek (Betsy) Gillespie, Northwood, ND; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marlys, and siblings Janice Keef and Robert Gillespie.
Memorial Services will be at a later date. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery of Park River in the spring.
