Leland (Lee) Nagel, a life-long resident of Devils Lake, ND, died unexpectedly on July 17, 2021 at the age of 65.
Lee was born in Devils Lake on June 6, 1956 to Ben and Alma. He graduated from Devils Lake Central High School in 1976.
After graduation Lee worked for a local Devils Lake plumbing company, as well as a highway construction company from Lakota. He was employed at Nordic Fiberglass in Devils Lake from June 21, 1999 to July 15, 2021.
Lee was a quiet, private, soft-hearted person. He loved his family, always helping out his mother and siblings in Devils Lake. Lee loved animals, especially his sister Connie’s cat Tango and dog Taz. One of Lee’s favorite times of the year was college football season as he was an avid fan of the NDSU Bison football team. In his younger days he enjoyed fishing and duck/goose hunting.
Lee is survived by his mother, Alma Pulst, (Grand Forks); sisters: Shirleen Pederson (Grand Forks), Bernadine (Gene) Finamore (Manning, OR), Penny (Rick) Abar (Grand Forks), Lisa Cooper (Devils Lake); brother Curtis Nagel (Grand Forks); and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Connie Nagel; his father, Ben Nagel; his step father, Harold Pulst; niece, Melissa Pederson; grandparents; and several uncles and aunts.
