Lillian was mischievous in her childhood. Her stories included lighting an ant hill on fire, climbing into a dugout for an afternoon swim, and being bathed in tomato juice after chasing skunks. In her teenage years, she was smitten by Charles Hildebrand. Many people in Morden and Winkler know her from Video Stop, where she enjoyed chatting with her customers. She loved a good fire, sitting on her deck with a bag of sunflower seeds, drinking a cold Coca Cola (with a little bit of ice), playing cards, and shouting Bingo! Lillian loved talking to people on the phone and having visitors at her house. She was a second mom to many of her children and grandchildren’s friends. Lillian will be deeply missed!
A memorial on Wednesday, May 5th, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Lillian’s name to Pembina Valley Humane Society, 462 Jefferson Street, Morden, Manitoba, R6M 1Y4. She loved animals, especially her babies, Patches, Dymond and Trucker.
