Linda Joann Loos was born January 5, 1937 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late John E. “Jack” and Octavia (Geston) Loos. She attended schools in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School in 1955. Linda was united in marriage to Francis G. McCann on September 30, 1956 at the Grafton Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Grafton until 1958 when they moved to the farm near Voss, ND. The couple lived and farmed there until 2015 when they moved back to Grafton.
Linda was a member of the Knox Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aide. She was a member of the church circles and served on the church board. She was a member of several local bridge groups, the Fair Oaks Golf Club where she served as president of the Ladies Golfers. She was also a member of the Grafton Curling Club and enjoyed playing tennis. She served as a director on the Lutheran Sunset Board. The couple enjoyed spending winters in Florida since 1990.
Linda is survived by her husband, Francis G. McCann, Grafton, ND; children: Michael (LaVaun) McCann, Grand Forks, ND; Douglas (Ann) McCann, Grafton, ND; Jeffrey (Shelley) McCann, Grafton, ND; Jane (Keith) Brown, Grand Forks, ND; her grandchildren: Michelle (Mike) Monson, Robert McCann (Megan Woltz), Charles (Kayla) McCann, Thomas (Julie) McCann, Joseph (Tori Edie) Anderson and Lindsey (Jared) Christie; her great grandhchildren: Zach and Caden Monson, Landon & Micah McCann, Olivia, Emilia and James McCann, Porter Edie; her siblings: Dennis (Jackie) Loos, brother-in-law, Richard Anderson and sister-in-law, Evelyn Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law, John (Margorie) Loos, sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (Harold) Blanchard, sister-in-law, Marlys Anderson and brother-in-law, Edward Anderson.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Minto, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson funeral Home of Grafton, ND. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the Minto City Cemetery in the spring.
