Abraham Löwen
1959 ~ 2021
After a long battle of cancer, and with great sorrow we announce the passing of Abraham, husband, dad, opa, son and sibling.
Abraham was born on February 8, 1959 in Russia. At the age of 12 he accepted Jesus as his loving Saviour and was baptized upon the confession of his faith. Abraham was united in marriage on August 29, 1982 to Helena Block. God blessed them with two sons and three daughters. In July 1990, the family immigrated to Germany, where they had lots of adventures. In the year 2008, the family moved to Canada and joined the German Mennonite Brethren Church of Schanzenfeld. Abraham always made sure the church yard was well taken care. With great pleasure he always attended church services. His family played a special role in his life. In 2017, he was diagnosed with cancer. After his treatments, his health status improved for a short period of time. By November 2019 cancer had rapidly spread. In his last two months of suffering, he was longing to see his loving Saviour. Through all the difficult times he was so thankful, and patient with his terminal illness.
Abraham leaves to mourn his wife, Helena, his children; Victor (Maria), Lina, Anna, Willi, Luisa (Artur) and grandchildren, Emily, Louis, Leah and Luke, his mother, three sisters and five brothers. You will be greatly missed!
We as family are thankful for all the support and prayers we received through this difficult time. A big thank you to Dr. Woelk, Dr. Brett, palliative care nurse, Karen and to all the medical staff.
