Marie C. Eback, 91, died on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the Senior Living Center in Warroad, MN.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Thursday, May 19, 2022 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Marie Christine was born on May 9, 1931 in Fillmore, ND to Fred and Josephine (Muri) Bingham. Marie married Leo Eback on May 10, 1948 in Minnewaukan, ND and is the mother of 9 children, 31 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
Marie was a devout Catholic, a loyal and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Being raised on the farm, Marie lived a hard life as the family moved with Leo while he worked construction in many towns throughout the region. To help support the family Marie worked many years in the restaurant business. After settling in Devils Lake, she owned and operated the Lady M Restaurant. When she sold that she got certified to work for the REM organization caring for the disabled. After Leo passed away Marie moved to Warroad, MN to live with her son, David.
Her lifelong entertainment was going to Bingo with her sisters Rose Mary and Eustene and playing cards. She also loved Yahtzee, Cribbage, and visiting the Casino.
Marie is survived by a brother, Fred Bingham, Devils Lake, ND; seven children and their families: Angie and John Durbin, Rosemount, MN: 4 sons: Terry (Tami)Durbin, Adam (Amanda) Durbin, and John (Cory) Durbin and their families: Janice Eback, Devils Lake, ND and 3 children: Bradley (Deb) Eback, Tammy Eback, and Bruce Eback and their families: Fred and Mary Eback, Devils Lake, ND and 3 daughters: Sharon (Steve) Johanson, Ellen Eback, and Kay (Justen) Barstad and their families: Dorothy Jorgenson, Devils Lake, ND and 5 children: Sheri (Jeff) Mork, Raymond (Pam) Dolan, Jeanine Anhorn, Karrie (Aaron) Green, and Chad (Natasha) Jorgenson and their families: Bob’s 2 children: Robert Eback and Amanda (Brian) Clegg and their families: David Eback, Warroad, MN and 1 daughter: Sandra (Bradley) Bergeron and family: Jeffrey and Kathy Eback, Andover, MN and 2 daughters: Tara (Ryan) LeClair and Tonia (Brent) Rice and their families: Diann and Jim Classen, Shelly MN and 4 children: Melissa (Troy) Scharfenkamp, Joshua Classen, Maika (Brad) Knudson, and Dustin Classen and their families: Leo and Kelli Eback, Virginia, MN and 3 daughters: Kari (David) DeSpiegelaere, Jessica (Ken) Rahkola, and Nicole (Casey Olson) Eback and their families; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray Ripplinger, John Zettler, Bernard Eback, Katherine Eback, Phyllis Eback, and Kathy Eback; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband (1/29/2006), sons Robert (11/6/2009) and James (3/4/2010), grandsons Steven Durbin, Ryan Eback, and Nicholas Clausen, sisters Eustene Tollefson, Rose Mary Leppard, Patricia Ripplinger, Catherine Kraft, and Susan Bingham and brothers George, Delbert, and Francis Bingham.
Casket Bearers will be Bradley Eback, Ray Dolan, Sharon Johanson, Tonia Rice, John Durbin Jr., Chad Jorgenson, Nikki Eback, Casey Olson and Zachary Dolan. Reading Scripture will be Kathy Eback; Gift Bearers are Marie's Grandchildren; Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist Sharon Eversvik. Music will be provided by Kevin Regan and Audrey Myklebust.
