Marjory K. Lein was born July 6, 1924 in Concrete, North Dakota, the daughter of the late Matthew and Maggie (Lawson) Lein. She graduated from Cavalier High School in 1942. She worked various jobs in the area including: working as a cook and baker on a cook car for Joe Mayo, a nanny in Grand Forks, and a dietician at Deaconess Hospital. She then attended the University of North Dakota for a machinist course. She moved to Minneapolis, MN where she was employed as a machinist making airplane parts during WWII.
Marjory was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, John E. Einarson on October 2, 1946. The couple made their home near Cavalier where they raised their three children: Jean, Mark and Lee. Mark passed away in May of 1966 from cancer and John passed away in January of 1983. Marjory continued to make her home on the family farm until moving into the Park River Good Samaritan Center in December of 2019.
She was a member of the Victory Free Lutheran Church and the former Hallson Lutheran Church. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed embroidery.
Marjory is survived by her daughter, Jean Fjeld, Park River, ND; daughter-in-law, Connie Einarson, Moorhead, MN; grandchildren: James (Libby Smith) Einarson, Annie Lundvall, Tyler (Andrea) Einarson; great grandchildren: Riley, Gavin, Walker, Kayla, Olivia and Gunnar; brother, Clint (Sandy) Lein, Minneapolis, MN and Ben Hannesson who was like another son to Marjory. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; sons, Mark and Lee; son-in-law, Mark Fjeld; siblings: Phyllis (Dan) Seymour, Dorothy (Walt) Harildstad, Lorrayne (George) Cook and Gordon Lein.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Victory Free Lutheran Church, Park River. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the Andvari Cemetery, rural Cavalier, ND, in the spring. A video of Marjory’s service will be posted to her obituary on the Tollefson Funeral Home website.
