Ramona Jean was born in Fostoria, Kansas on November 28, 1930, daughter of Floyd and Flossie Carr. Ramona was the youngest of six children. She graduated from Fostoria High School, and proudly served in the U.S. Military with the United States Air Force. For 20 years, she worked for the Social Security Administration in Kansas City, Missouri.
Always ready for a good laugh, Ramona enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, shopping, was artistically talented, trained as a beautician, and she was a world traveler. Ramona also thoroughly enjoyed many winter months in Brownsville, Texas.
She is survived by her partner of 22 years Leonard “Lenny” Jemtrud of Devils Lake; a son, Michael (Kathy) Bullock of Houston, Texas; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren Raymond (Tara) Bullock and children Cameron, Brandon and Megan, Donald (Shawn) Bullock and children Jordyn and Brayden, Melissa (Clint) Robinson and daughter MacKenzie, Elizabeth (Ricky) Merritt and children Hailey, Abbey and Mallorey and two nieces, Sharon Groff, Ozawkie, KS and Debra Evans (Steve), Vermillion, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with Reverend Lori Broschat officiating. Burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery with Military Honors accorded. 28
