Raul Rodriguez, age 69 of Ardoch, ND and Laredo, TX passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Raul was born on February 24, 1952 in Laredo, TX to Jose and Carmen (Saucedo) Rodriguez. He and his family worked in agriculture, traveling between Texas, Mexico and North Dakota.
On July 19, 1970, Raul married the love of his life, Hilaria Puente in Minto, ND. Raul and Hilaria raised their seven children in Ardoch, ND and Laredo, TX. Raul worked for many farmers in the Minto, ND area, working the longest for the Gudajtes Family Farm.
Raul loved music; he was a drummer in the band “Los Amigos” out of Laredo, TX for more than 20 years. He was many things to many people; husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His most treasured role was “Welo”; he was proud of his family and loved spending time together.
Raul will be dearly missed by his wife, Hilaria, Ardoch, ND and Laredo, TX; children: Graciela Delgado, Grafton, ND, Rosa Maria Rodriguez (Ruben Acuna), Grafton, ND, Diana (Pedro) Mejia, Minto, ND, Raul (Kayla) Rodriguez, Jr., Minto, ND, Maria Lordes (Carlos) Tapia, Minto, ND, Gabriela Rodriguez (Jose Sanchez), Minto, ND, and Norma (Chris) Scroggins, Italy, TX; 32 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00-7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Family and friends may also come to the church two hours prior to the service on Monday.
