Richard David Kehler
1959 ~ 2022
Richard David Kehler, beloved husband of Annamarie, father to Kelly and Shelby, passed away suddenly on Thursday January 13, 2022.
Rick was born on May 23, 1959 in Altona, Manitoba. He was baptized upon his confession of faith on June 7, 1981, in the Altona Sommerfeld Church by Bishop John A Friesen. His early years were spent on the family farm in Kronsthal. He received his education at the Kronsthal School and then W C Miller Collegiate in Altona.
After graduation he worked at Macleods in Altona and then Sun Valley Co-op in Altona. It was during this time he met the love of his life Annamarie Redstone.
They were married on August 1, 1987 in Imperial, Saskatchewan. They started their married life in Winnipeg where he worked for various lumber yards.
During this time they welcomed a son, Kelly Adam in October 1990 and a daughter, Shelby Lynn in January 1995. Rick spent a lot of time and interest in activities his children were involved in. He was proud of their accomplishments. He loved to travel and the family spent a lot of time in Imperial, visiting with Annamarie’s family.
Rick dealt with a number of health issues. He was at work on January 13th when he passed away.
Rick is survived by his wife Annamarie, children Kelly and Shelby, five sisters, three brothers and their families: Linda, Bernie and Bev (Cherice and Corbin, Hailey, Carley, Oakley, Mike and Shelby), Barb, Betty and Rod Sawatzky (Travis, Kash, Tyrell), Jim and Laurie (Natasha, Aurora), Gerry, Cathy and Lloyd Braun, Irma and Jim Fehr (Andrew, Evan, Shaun). His mother-in-law Betsy, brothers-in-law John and Theresa Redstone (Bert and Amy, Jack, Georgia, Jenny and Robbie, Kate and Darren, Brock, Melanie) Donald and Linda Redstone (Matthew and Michelle, Taya, Aria, Levi, Cory and Jeanine, Kamryn)
He was predeceased by his mom, Sara and dad, Jacob F Kehler, one brother, David, two sisters, Kim and Jennie, and father-in-law, Bert Redstone.
Rest In Peace Rick. We will cherish the memories.
