Richard Rasmusson, age 62 of Park River, ND, passed away on Wednesday, September 15,2021 at Essentia Health in Fargo.
Richard Rasmusson was born September 22, 1958 in Lawndale, CA, the son of Ardell and the late Dorothy (Guttormson) Peltier. In 1962 the family moved to Fort Ransom, ND where Richard grew up and attended school. He moved to Casper, WY where he was united in marriage to Deanna Abeyta on December 5, 1978. They moved to Fort Ransom to be closer to family and later moved to Grafton to raise their three children: Michael, Ricky and Kelly.
Richard worked for Harriston Industries, Halls, and in 2009 started working for Campbell farms. He was a longtime member of the Fort Ransom Standing Rock Lutheran Church. Richard and Deanna loved to spend their free time fishing, camping and gathering with their children and grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his children: Michael (Brittany) Rasmusson, Ricky Rasmusson, and Kelly Rasmusson; 10 grandchildren and his father Ardell Rasmusson, Fort Ransom, ND. He was preceded in death by his wife Deanna, mother Dorothy Peltier, brother Ronald Rasmusson and an infant sister.
Private services will be held at a later date with inurnment at the Standing Rock Cemetery in Fort Ransom.
