Ronald L. Olson, age 74 of St. Thomas, ND passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his home in St. Thomas.
Ronald Louis Olson was born to Lloyd Ingerd and Viola Mae (Larson) Olson on May 15, 1949. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church located in St. Thomas, ND where he was a lifetime member. He attended and graduated from St. Thomas High School with the class of 1968. After high school he married Darlene Monson in 1969 and had two children; James and Shane. He worked a number of jobs and later owned and operated Olson Decorating, a painting contracting business for 26 years, retiring in 2013.
Ron enjoyed cooking, puzzles, old cars and visiting.
Ron is survived by his children: James Olson of Grafton, ND and Shane Olson of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Austin and Allison Olson, Brett and Sammy; and sister Marjy Luger of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Viola Olson, siblings: Baby Olson, Clayton Olson and Janice (William) Way.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at the St. Thomas City Cemetery in the spring.
