Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Devils Lake with the Very Reverend C.F. Wilhelm celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Mr. Ken Severinson, Deacon officiating. Visitation on Tuesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. The Mass will be live-streamed at facebook.com/stjosephdvl.
Rose Elizabeth was born to Theodore and Margaret (Schneider) Heilman on November 23, 1916 in Devils Lake the 8th of 12 children. She attended elementary school there through eighth grade. In her late teens she moved to Minneapolis MN for two years and worked as a housekeeper. She returned from there and married John Heintz, Jr. in October of 1937. They had two children, Jerry and Rosalie. While living in Devils Lake she worked at various restaurants, the Lunch Box and the Two Spot, among others.
Rose is survived by her son Jerry of Kansas, daughter Rosalie of Devils Lake, one granddaughter, one great grandson, one great-great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Joan Heintz, four brothers and seven sisters.
