Rosie leaves to mourn her three children. Cheryl (Dave) Good, Gladys (Murray) Dunn, Warren (Charlene Beliveau) Somers. Grandchildren Jacklyn (Jason), Alex (Nicole), Bradly, Erin (friend Russ), Dallas (Ben), Daniel (Samantha), Brooke (friend Rob) and 18 Great Grandchildren.
Rosie grew up in Pansy MB then moved to Transcona. She met the love of her life Donald George Somers of Carman, in 1957 through friends. They were married in 1958 and settled on the farm north of Carman. Rosie had many occupations over the years, but the one she would talk about the most was being a School Bus Driver. She LOVED it. Rosie also loved to garden, knit and crochet. She took up oil painting in her later years and was very good at it. She loved to cook for her family and friends and always expected 75 random guests to show up to help eat all the food she had prepared. She cherished her time with her family and friends, creating memories and carrying on traditions such as jam making, perogies, and collecting items.
After Don passed in 2018, Rosie moved off the farm and into a condo in town in 2020. Dementia started to take hold and in June 2022 she was admitted to the Carman Hospital while she waited for placement in the Personal Care Home in Carman. She was moved into the PCH in July 2023.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Carman Hospital and the Personal Care Home for the care of our dear Rosie.
