Sam A. Svir, age 56, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 in Grafton, ND.
Sam Svir was born May 4, 1967 in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. He moved to the United States and lived in Park River, ND. He attended school in Park River, graduating from Park River High School in 1988.
After high school, he entered the United States Navy. He stayed in California and began working for Michael’s Craft Stores. He moved back to Grafton, ND in 2020 and worked for Hugo’s until his death. Sam was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan and could be found watching college sports, when he wasn’t working.
Sam is survived by his brother, Patrick Svir, Big Sky, MT; step-father Paul Daley, Grafton, ND and many relatives back in Thailand. He was preceded in death by his mother Boonmee Daley and many family members in Thailand.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Tollefson Funeral Home in Grafton, with a Time of Sharing Memories at 6:00 p.m.
