Tenerrie Dawn, daughter of Sharlene Ironhawk and the late Gordon Swift Hawk was born on August 12, 1982 at Devils Lake ND. She made her home with family on the Spirit Lake Nation, Devils Lake, Harvey and Carrington ND attending school in the various towns. She completed her education at the Quentin Burdick Job Corp in Minot ND where she received her training, graduating as a Certified Nursing Assistant. For the past several years, Tenerrie called Crookston home. She worked in the local nursing home for several years until declining health forced her to retire.
Tenerrie was a “social butterfly”. She loved being around people, sharing fun times with old friends and making new friends. She had a kind and caring heart. Tenerrie was always willing to lend a helping hand, do whatever she could to help a friend or family member. She had a special place in her heart for animals too, especially her precious dog “Scrappy”.
Our hearts ache with sadness. Tenerrie left this world too soon. Tenerrie will be forever loved, forever in our hearts and forever missed.
