Tonya Jo Frances Teel, 49, of Fargo, ND died Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Tonya Jo Frances Teel was born July 1, 1973, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Cynthia Teel. She attended school in Sheyenne, ND where she graduated in 1991. She and Dale Elllingson were blessed with a son, Drew Ellingson in 1994. In 2006, Tonya and Tom Sullivan were blessed with Thomas and Wyatt in 2008.
Tonya attended Cankdeska Cikana Community College, in Fort Totten, where she obtained Dean’s List Status. She worked at a call center at one time, but mostly worked in food as a manager. She had a way with words in both her written and verbal expressions. She liked to collect anything miniature.
Tonya had a great sense of humor and she loved to have a good time. She was a multifaceted individual, who depending on the situation, was a protector, strong willed, sensitive, kind and spoke her mind. She would give you the shirt off her back even if that’s all she had at the time. She was a beautiful, adventurous and free-spirited soul. Tonya had a big heart and was deeply loved by her family and friends. She was a very passionate person. She is now at peace and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Tonya is survived by his loving family; sons Andrew Ellingson, Fargo, Thomas Sullivan and Wyatt Sullivan, St. Michael ND; sister Tabitha Teel, Fargo; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded by her parents Joseph and Cynthia Teel-Olson, brother Joseph Teel Jr., grandparents, Oswald and Frances Olson and Frances Teel.
Visitation at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm with the Funeral Service at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Michael ND. Fellowship to follow at the Tekakwitha Center in St. Michael.
