Virginia was known for her love of her family, decorating for all of the holidays, playing cards, winning bingo, and enjoying golf. Hole #8 at the Walhalla Country Club was Ginny’s favorite. For many winters, she enjoyed residing in Sunland Village, Mesa, AZ, but in the summer, she loved lake time. She was always ready for a trip, and she traveled everywhere to see her children and grandchildren. Virginia liked to shop - shoes were her specialty. She also enjoyed riding around the farm, checking the crops, and helping out where needed - but she wouldn’t argue if you relieved her of her lunch-making duties. She was also an active member of the St. Boniface Alter Society.
Virginia is survived by her five children, Janis (Greg) Gustafson, Sun Lakes, AZ; Jim (Audrey), Walhalla; Colleen (Bill) Lykken, Grafton, ND; Tom (Connie), Walhalla; and Cathy (Steve) Spicer, Thompson, ND. Virginia is also survived by one brother, Roy (Joanne) Morris, Cavalier, ND, and nieces, Debbie and Peggy. Virginia enjoyed all of her 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her parents, as well as her husband of 67 years, Ted Eagan.
Virginia believed in supporting the local community and in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Walhalla Country Club, Pembilier Nursing Center, and the Walhalla Ambulance Service and Fire Department.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services.
